OUR PAST INTERNS
Evan: “For five months in 2014 I interned at Tours 4 Tips, mostly working on business development and marketing projects. I can’t speak highly enough about the leadership and entire team here – they are awesome! The Tours 4 Tips staff really are like one huge family. This is an extremely exciting company to work for: constantly changing, growing, and taking on new initiatives. Outside of the office, Santiago is a stunning city and Chile is a breathtaking country to explore. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to do an internship”.
Louise Spratt, U.K: “I worked mostly on blog content management and website translations. What I love about working here is the energy of the team: everyone is so enthusiastic and passionate about what they do. Santiago is, for me, an impressive location in which to work with an eco-tourism company because we are perfectly positioned between the foothills of the Andes (which blow me away every day) and the coast. In fact Chile boasts one of the most diverse natural landscapes you can explore. I’m learning so much every day about Chilean culture and the principles of sustainable tourism”.
Jacqueline (Jacky) Calfiñir: “I’ll never regret sending in my CV. I’ve had the chance to work with talented people, but especially with friendly people who know how to support those who are new to the team and to pass on all the wisdom they have. I believe, as well as being grateful of the support in the office and on the tours, their objective is to give us interns better tools in order to be great professionals in Tourism and Service in the future… It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to receive this kind of knowledge direct from the brains behind T4T”.
Michelle Campos: “I am a graduate of Hospitality and Tourism and I found myself partaking in a professional placement at Tours 4 Tips. I arrived thanks to the director of my university course and the truth is that I was pleasantly surprised by the people who form the team. After one month I realized the trust between employees, together with the care they have shown me has made me feel part of the family. They gave me the opportunity to personally develop on what I studied and work alongside Tharsis Andrade in Tour Operations. Despite being new to the company, the amount I learnt from her and from the T4T team means I have more confidence in myself each day and also in the belief that Sustainable Tourism is possible in terms of the city of Santiago”.
Francisco Onel: “What inspired me to choose this company was the chance to be able to gain new experiences and make new discoveries not to mention the great working environment. You can tell that all the staff are approachable and happy to help you in any way you need, which is a great motivation to keep working as part of the team”.
Gustavo Arias: “My name is Gustavo and I’m a graduate of Natural Tourism Business Administration from the Professional College Vertical. I am taking part in a professional internship in the area of logistics during which I have had the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the different products, from planning to operations, in addition to interacting with the whole T4T team and learning about the other areas of the company. I admire the fact that the team is willing to give it all they’ve got, to generate a great working environment, empathy and respect”.
Sophie de Cordoue: “For three months in 2015, I was a trainee at Tours 4 Tips where i worked mostly on Social Media Marketing and Public Relations. I heard of the company thanks to a report on French TV and I have never regretted sending my resume, it was a really good opportunity. In the past I had been to Chile because I did a university exchange in Santiago but I wanted to come back to discover the working life in particularly in tourism. First, I was really impressed how friendly people are at the Green Team and how they all really like their job. As a trainee I liked to be considered, to be listen and encouraged in my ideas. You can completely rely on them, they are awesome!”.
Maud Tourney: “I am a student in a French business school and I was an intern at La Bicicleta Verde for 6 months. It was the most amazing experience of my life. Admittedly, Chile is insanely cool and Santiago is a wonderful city. But the Green Team you will meet in this crazy little company is even more surprising. I learnt about Marketing and Project Management. I learnt how working in team and in a start-up environment looks like. From Online Marketing Tools Management to Customer Service and assisting on tours as a back-up guide, I was never bored in my 6 months of work. Peter and Joel, the 2 owners, alongside all the managers and staff are the coolest people I met. Both the professional and human experience you’ll get are fantastic. Thank you Green Team for everything, I’ll remember you forever!”.
