We spent a great 3 hours with Vincent. The tour was very informative, fun, different and we have learnt a lot about Santiago. Vincent has good people skills and is very knowledgeable and passionate about the country.
The morning tour was excellent! Led by the knowledgeable and friendly Vincent and Alejandro, we were guided through the various markets (which really only locals use and sell amazing fresh food at cheap prices), gave us useful tips re. where and what to eat, took us to the massive general cemetery (which I would otherwise probably not have gone/would have gotten lost in), and provided a useful background in the recent history of Chile.
The Offbeat Tour was so much fun! I learned tons of interesting things and was totally entertained the whole time. Our guide, Rodrigo, also treated us to amazing, hot Sopaipillas halfway through the tour.
We did the 3pm tour in Santiago with Ignacio. He was amazing! You need to put your listening ears on because he has so much to say and there’s so much learn. A great way to see and learn about Santiago’s political & cultural history in a relaxed and cool way.
I only had a couple days in Santiago, and the tour was definitely PERFECT to see the city in the limited time I had. I took the afternoon tour which was extremely thorough, and my guide was fantastic – Incredibly knowledgable about the city’s history, political ongoings and culture. He also had some great suggestions regarding bars and restaurants to go to!
Our guide has been AWESOME! She is an actress and she writes plays and you could totally see the passion for her city during the whole tour. I am in the industry and took tons of walking tours and I must say I was extremely impressed about the care she had for all of us. We received enough information to let us go back to our next activities with a better sense of the city and its history and also a curiosity to come back and see more. I highly recommend this tour and this company. Everything was extremely organized from the website to make the reservation, to their follow up email up to the actual tour: and it is FREE!
Matias was a great guide. Very patient! Chileno Spanish has been hard to understand but Matias spoke clearly and profoundly about super interesting topics you can’t just read in a guide book.
